Divine Hope Mission

Frequently Asked Questions:

How is Divine Hope Mission different from other charities?

Many charity organizations struggle to understand the people they serve and their needs in their socio-cultural context. Divine Hope Mission overcomes this by working alongside those we serve with compassion, love, and understanding.

Where do most of Divine Hope Mission's resources go?

Resources go to remote communities and isolated villages in Nigeria, where access to necessities is minimal or non-existent. Grounded in Umume-Obodoukwu, Imo State, we plan to expand our programs to other areas in need.

What is your Mission?

Divine Hope Mission exists to spread the light of hope in remote communities and isolated villages in Nigeria where access to the necessities of life is minimal and, in most cases, does not exist.

What are some of the programs and services that Divine Hope Mission provides?

We assist in providing medical and mental health services to remote communities and isolated villages in Nigeria, where access is often limited or non-existent. We are building a Divine Hope Health Center in Umume-Obodoukwu, Imo State, to provide ongoing primary care and serve as a base for our medical missions and outreach. We also aid in offering practical skills training to help people care for themselves and support their families. We provide food to individuals and families who lack resources or have limited means to feed themselves.

Are my donations to Divine Hope Mission tax-deductible?

Yes! Divine Hope Mission Inc. (DHM) is an independent nonprofit charitable organization that is legally incorporated as a non-stock corporation in the state of Connecticut and is registered with the United States Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.

Is Divine Hope Mission a religious organization?

Divine Hope Mission is an independent non-profit charitable organization not attached to any religious group. Though a Catholic priest, Rev. Collins I. Anaeche, Ph.D., LMFT, founded Divine Hope Mission, the organization welcomes all who share its values and mission. Rooted in the belief that all we are and have are God’s gifts of love, Divine Hope Mission provides care to all people through charity and compassionate service, regardless of denominations or religious or non-religious affiliations.
